Finding Silhouette of Korea with Korean Structure

These posters were made to find the silouette of Korea. Personally, I have been thinking Korea was lack of it’s characteristic color and form than other countries for a long period of time. So I found the object that best express Korea and wanted to find the best form of Korea through out the posters. One of each poster were made to show the past and present form of Korea. The objects used to express the form of Korea were Pagoda and Bridges of Han river. Pagoda was used to express the past form of Korea. Pagoda is a stone tower made from the period Sila to Chosun dynasty for religous purposes. The Han river bridges were used to express the modern form of Korea. These objects were used to connect the spiritual minds of people at the times and also the times, and had a distinctive structure that I thought would best describe Korean silouette. 이 두장의 포스터는 한국의 새로운 형태를 표현하기 위해 제작한 포스터입니다. 개인적으로 현재 한국은 다른 나라에 비해서 고유의 색이나, 형태가 부족하다는 것을 오랜시간동안 느껴왔습니다. 그렇기 때문에 한국을 표현할 수 있는 가장 적절한 오브제를 통해서 한국의 새로운 형태를 찾아나가는 모습을 포스터로서 시각화하고 싶었습니다. 각각의 포스터는 과거와 현대의 한국의 새로운 형태를 담으려 했고, 가장 적절한 오브제로는 과거에서는 신라시대부터 조선시대동안 우리의 선조와 함께 만들어지고 오랜세월 함께한 석탑과 현대에서는 서울을 이어주는 한강다리를 통해서 한국의 미를 새로운 형태로서 표현하려 했습니다. 각각의 오브제는 사람과 사람을 이어주고 시대와 시대를 이어준다는 점과 형태적으로 흥미롭다는 점에서 오브제를 선정하였습니다.
